Chapter Six

Raina followed Earth into the bedroom. “What did he mean he went to the priest? I thought we were trapped down here …?”

Earth grabbed her, shoved her against the wall and silenced her with the weight of his mouth.

It was a very, very nice mouth, he discovered. He had always had a predilection for human women anyway and Raina appealed to him more than any other he had encountered.

He had no clue why until he matched his mouth to hers and felt the impact of her essence upon him. Inside of one second, he had completely lost his mind, totally lost control, and had no notion why he should be trying to regain self-control, exploring her mouth feverishly while he struggled to figure out how to get her clothing off and mount her right that moment when he didn’t want to let go of her or stop exploring her mouth and drinking in her essence.

He settled for grinding his erection against her cleft for a handful of seconds, and focused on sucking her tongue, but that was not nearly enough to appease him for more than a few moments.

Fortunately for the ‘great plan’, Water, Wind, and Fire arrived to pull him off of her before he could figure out how to get her clothing off without putting her down.

She blinked at him owlishly as she slid down the wall to the floor.

Earth fought the hold of the others for several moments before sanity returned and he realized that he could not, should not, do what was uppermost in his mind.

Certainly not when he had no control over himself.

He stopped struggling.

Fire, Water, and Wind studied him suspiciously for several moments and finally relaxed their grips. Fire went to help Raina to her feet. She was unsteady so he walked her into the kitchen and settled her on a stool—one of the few pieces of furniture still relatively intact.

Raina was hardly aware of being led away.

The kiss had totally short-circuited her brain.

Everything on her and inside of her was still tingly and sparking—draining the strength from her muscles and bones as if she was standing on a live wire.

She thought she might’ve cum while he was grinding into her.

She felt that weak.

She would never have thought anyone could make her feel like that with just a kiss.

Fire kept glancing at her worriedly, she thought, and she was vaguely aware of each time he glanced her way, but she was in a sort of zombie state—not really thinking, just feeling a whole lot of stuff that was staggering, but amazingly pleasant.

When the others joined her at the counter to eat, all of them kept glancing at her—uneasily, she thought, but she couldn’t get excited about it. She did discover she was hungry, though. She definitely had an appetite, anyway, because Fire was a damned good cook. So she ate everything and then she went to the bedroom to sleep some more.

“What do you make of that?” Fire asked uneasily when she left.

“He broke her, gods damn it!” Water growled.
